The work behind Monte Istulargiu

Our agricultural business

In the agricultural section of the business we work full-time on cultivating  our surrounding fields and farmland, where we grow our own produce. Some of this is then used to make our own typical food, while other products are used for feeding the animals. Some areas are left for animal grazing, so that we can offer our customers quality meat, cheese and dried meats with real flavour, produced in a natural, healthy and genuine way.

In the livestock section of the farm, we are involved in raising pigs, sheep, horses and other farmyard animals. If you de
cide to take
the opportunity to go for long walks in the surrounding countryside, you will be able to see these animals living contentedly in their natural habitat.

This philosophy means that all our cheeses, dried pork meats such as sausage, bacon, pork loin, ham, capicola, and other pickled foods are produced in a traditional authentic way.

All of these could well become your souvenirs, to take home as a reminder both of us and of the tastes of Sardinia.

Our horses can be used both for trekking, and for the usual stables and horse-riding activities, which are available to our customers.
